PHOTOS OF THE MACOLLADES OF OLOCAU
Often, the trunks of these centenarian carob trees,
Take on mythological forms,
Like nerves dragged from the centre of the earth |
Throughout the centurias, the agriculral worker from Olocau
Has created a landscape of great natural interes which
Is formed by the carob trees: les macollades |
To enter a macolla
Is like entering a túnel of branches,
Tunks and leaves
Which give shade to and intimate
And sometimes fantastic scenery |
We don't know
If the trunk of the carob tree
Wants to be converted into stone,
Or it's the stone that wants
To become a tree |
